Strawberries and cream. Then sunset on Table Land.
The story
Strawberry morning below Table Land: close by, a plant at the edge of the near row hangs ripe berries over the red earth; beyond it a traveller kneels at a row to pick, a small basket at his side, and Table Land's flat top stands on the skyline.
Why this picture
Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar grow India's best-known strawberries (GI-tagged), in farms of low plants in rows on the plateau's red laterite, their white flowers and red berries among three-part toothed leaves; picking peaks from December to February under clear, cool skies. Above the town, Table Land is a dead-flat laterite plateau with sheer scarps, silver oaks planted in British times line its roads, and green bee-eaters hawk insects in the morning light.

The motion
The near plants stir; the silver oaks sway; green bee-eaters cross the whole sky; clouds drift; the sun's rays turn. A 16-second loop.
Colour
Panchgani takes Jade #04B495, one of the three Fields colours — with its icon in Steel Grey on it.
