Why this icon The waterfall across the Chandra is Sissu's sight. Source: en.wikipedia.org
Out of the Atal Tunnel. A waterfall pours into the Chandra.
The story
A bright summer day at Sissu: a traveller has pulled a motorbike over on the Manali–Leh road by the Chandra and points across the river at the waterfall pouring from the snowfield down its dark rock face, poplars and pea fields on the near bank.
Why this picture
Sissu (3,120 m) sits on the right bank of the Chandra in Lahaul, on the Manali–Leh road, and looks across the river at its waterfall, a long white ribbon fed by the snow above, fullest with the summer melt, green slopes at its foot. Since the Atal Tunnel opened in 2020 riders reach it in about an hour and a half from Manali; the highway runs along the river edged with kerb stones and milestones, and poplars and willows line the green pea and potato fields on the valley floor.

The motion
The fall's water runs down the rock; the river's lines run; the poplars, willows and pea stalks sway; alpine choughs wheel by the cliff; the sun's rays turn. A 16-second loop.
Colour
Sissu takes Valley Blue #4F87C7, one of the three Valleys colours — with its icon in white on it.
